Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
The CFP® has emerged as the industry standard for financial advisors who focus on comprehensive financial planning. Our founder, William T. Heidig, served as a leader in the early days of the profession and has been a CFP® for more than 30 years.
CFP® professionals must complete a CFP® Board-Registered Educational Program, pass a comprehensive two-day certification examination, meet the CFP® Board’s stringent experience requirements, and subscribe to the CFP® Board’s Code of Ethics and Financial Planning Practice Standards. In addition, each CFP® professional must complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education every 24 months. The Code of Ethics & Professional Responsibility requires Integrity, Objectivity, Competence, Fairness, Confidentiality, Professionalism and Diligence.
